The long-awaited debut date and price of LG’s newest Gram 17 laptops have finally been disclosed. On February 1st, the newest model in this well-liked range of portable computers will be available. LG also displayed upgrades to its Gram series, including the Gram 17, earlier this year at CES 2023. Dolby Atmos compatibility, a variable refresh rate, and 13th Gen Intel processors are now included with the Gram17. Although the “LG Gram Pro” moniker has been given to this new series, the LG website will just show it as “LG Gram 17”.
LG seems to be releasing two models. The less expensive model will have a 1TB SSD, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and an NVIDIA RTX 3050 GPU. The higher-end model, however, will include the same GPU along with 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. Intel Core i7-1360P CPUs will power the two aforementioned variants.
Upgrades are also planned for other Gram models, including the 16-inch, 15-inch, and 14-inch sizes, for later this year. The 17Z90R, 16Z90R, 15Z90R, and 14Z90R are some of the new models that are part of this effort to give users a balance between performance and mobility. The newest Intel Evo platform, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, 13th Gen Intel Core processors, LPDDR5 RAM, and Gen4 NVMe SSD are all included in these laptops, according to LG, so they can easily handle demanding workloads. The new Gram laptops are lightweight, but they include a sizable battery that can support nearly 20 hours of movie playback on a single charge.
It’s important to note that the new Gram 17 is distinct from the 16-inch Gram UltraSlim and the Gram Style with an iridescent finish, both of which were previously shown at CES earlier this year. Even though those models might be eye-catching, many buyers in 2023 might prefer the tried-and-true Gram 17 as a more trustworthy and practical option. After launch, the laptops will be available for purchase through the LG official website and a few retail locations. The cost of the entry-level model is $1999, while the cost of the top-tier model is $2299.
