itel introduced the S23 in June, and now the company presents the itel S23+.
The itel S23+ boasts a 6.78″ FullHD+ curved always-on AMOLED display, offering 99% DCI-P3 color gamut, 500 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Additionally, it features an under-display fingerprint reader for secure biometric authentication and a centered punch-hole accommodating the 32MP selfie camera.
Moreover, the itel S23+ incorporates Apple’s Dynamic Island-like Dynamic Bar, which enables users to conveniently check notifications for incoming calls, reminders, and battery status. However, this feature will be available through a software update and won’t be preloaded.
Turning to the back, you’ll find a distinctive squircle-shaped camera island housing an LED flash and two cameras, including a high-performing 50MP primary camera and an auxiliary unit. These cameras come equipped with Eye Tracking and Portrait Lite features, ensuring exceptional portrait shots. The Lake Cyan model showcases an iridescent thick-plating technique on its back panel, capturing the beauty of lakes and mountains. Meanwhile, the Elemental Blue version’s rear cover uses an advanced glitter sand process, recreating the splendor of a starry night.

Under the hood, the itel S23+ is powered by the Unisoc T616 SoC, backed by 8GB LPDDR4X RAM (with an additional 8GB virtual RAM) and 256GB UFS 2.0 storage. Notably, the S23+ employs Atom Storage Technology, which automatically detects and organizes fragmented data, maintaining your phone’s performance over time. Even after four years of use, it only experiences a 3% decrease in speed.
On the software front, the itel S23+ runs on Android 13-based itelOS 13, incorporating the Aivana GPT AI-based voice assistant.
Fueling the entire device is a robust 5,000 mAh battery, charging rapidly through a USB-C port at up to 18W, reaching a full charge in approximately two hours.
With dimensions measuring just 7.9mm in thickness and a weight of 178g, the itel S23+ comes equipped with NFC capabilities. It is competitively priced at N95,000 and is now available for purchase at local itel shops in various African countries. itel sweetens the deal with an extended 3-year warranty (instead of the standard 1-year warranty) and offers a complimentary 6-month screen replacement to purchasers.
